Frequently asked questions
Do I need any running experience?
None at all. The Couch to 5K program is built for people starting from absolute zero. If you can walk, you can start.
Which program is right for me?
If you've never run before, start with Couch to 5K. If you can already run 5K, the 10K plan is your next step. If you want ongoing support and a fully personalised approach, 1:1 or online coaching is for you.
What equipment do I need?
A decent pair of running shoes and comfortable clothes. No gadgets required to get started.
How much time per week does it take?
The structured plans require 3 sessions per week at 20–40 minutes each. Coaching programs scale to 4–6 sessions depending on your goals.
Is coaching online or in person?
All coaching is delivered online. I'm based in Cape Town but coach runners across South Africa and beyond. Race support coaching includes in-person race day presence.
What if I miss a week or fall behind?
Life happens. Plans are flexible. We adjust and keep moving - there's no falling behind, only catching up.
